Weekend Winter Wonderland

Sunday Adam and I ventured out on a lovely snowshoe excursion to the back of the property. Adam was devastated to learn that many of the trees he remembers as a little boy were slatted for removal. This is a picture of one of his favorites that served as an imaginary castle of which he defending from the approaching evil forces. Also this was a perfect opportunity for me to once again establish myself as a bon-a-fide smartass. I attempted to walk a log, with my snowshoes, across a creek, at the advisement of Adam that I should just cross the creek bottom. I also of course had to make some comment before my tight rope adventure that I had amazing balance only with the next step to propel me through the log right onto my butt in the bottom of the creek. I am not sure what hurt worse, my pride or the stick on landed on that impaled itself into my butt. Confucius say-Woman with mouth as big as snowshoes still can't leap over babbling brook.....Lesson learned

With the generous help of Bill I was able to surprise Danyle with a new bed Christmas. His twin bed days are over! And an extra bonus is a nice guest bed is now available when he isn't here. I started this project in October but it was well worth the wait. Every Sunday right up until Christmas in some way shape or form involved this bed...So glad to be on to the next project...But what will it be???????Check back later to find out.

Just one of the Guys....

So today I just wanted to know what it felt like to get paid 30% more for doing the same job, ask everyone else to do my work for me, receive automatic respect due to the size of my mustache and to waste an entire day talking about the upcoming hunting season....So Call Me RANDY.......

Jacobs Corn Maze

This weekend Adam and I tried our luck at the 4 acre corn maze just outside of traverse. Good thing we had flashlights and plenty of corn to eat. Not as easy as you think. We also made a trip up to Northport to the Kilcherman's Antique Apple Farm, A fish fry in Omena and topped it off with my favorite...DairyVille. What a great way to spend sweetest day.....Some pictures
