UNSTINGABLE!

So my first wearing of the bee suit. I will give up the comfort of being cool any day to feel unstingable. I had to add a second brood box to each hives so that the queen has plenty more room to lay eggs. Here are some photos of the first bee suit appearance.

The Birds and the Bees

Lots of hustle and Bustle around the yard and the hives this weekend. The bees are on their own and are not being fed sugar water any longer. I opened up the entrance to the hive and it felt like a sigh of relief went over the bees as suddenly all the bees could get in and out as they pleased. They are returning with their little pollen sack on the back of the legs full. Here are some photos of bees, a robin, Martin's we have nesting at the house and a few odds and ends......

April Showers Bring May...Birthday's

Molly Moochers

Ok...so many of you may not know that that is a common name for a morel. Yup...a molly moocher is that famed fungus we spend hours searching for this time every may. Well the Lambert's don't have to search all that much because we have the money spot! This weekend prooved to be no different. We did finally allow our mom in on the little secret but we made her swear an oath of silence. All in all we collected about 6 lbs of mushrooms. Pictures can't do these little delights justice.

May 13 marked Adams ? birthday.......Sorry you will have to ask him. Complete with singing, carrot cake and spare ribs. Just on year closer to 40....

I would like to present the newest members of our family...My Lady Bees...all 30,000 of them. They are out and about and doing what bees do.
