My first trip to Mackinaw Island
Yes that is correct "My 1st Visit" to the Island. It is amazing that living here my whole life I had never made it there....but Alas...I finally did it. And I will probably not need to visit there for quite some time. Or maybe just pick a different time of the year to go. Horse crap and Fudge...that pretty much sums it up for me! But it was wonderful to go there with Gail, who capped off her trip to Michigan with a little trip to the island with me. I was so bummed to see her leave yesterday....but I know she had to get back home...Lord knows what my dad got into! Here are pictures from the Island and Gails visit........
The Family Reunion
Sunday marked yet another Family gathering. However we did have some travelers that made it from the likes of California. The weather was beautiful, the hayride was a new feature and the food, as always, was delicious. The only bad part....Ahh I lost my cell phone! Let me know if you find it! Here is a little slide show of the day. Sorry if I misspelled your name!

HUP....HUP...AND AWAY!
Yesterday I had the privilege of sponsoring our company in the annual Hurry Up and Paddle Race (HUP) in grayling. With the generous efforts of Bill...we spent a good 4 1/2 hours building the make shift canoe that floated me into a respectable 6th place finish (out of 13). We did incur a few penalties related to painting which left me to do the stupid YMCA dance in front of the crowd. So needless to say I represented! Here is a video and a few photos.

New house pictures
well...it has been a busy summer already. I have spent most of my free time working in my yard. Here are some pictures. Maybe someday we will get municipal sewer and I will be able to plant some trees in my front yard! Also please excuse the lawn under major need of mowing....Thanks Danyle....He's working on it...Rightttttttt. I finished my window boxes, with the help of Bill, and hung...with the major help of Adam. Its starting to come together. Now I just have to be patient and see what survives untill next year....That's the hard part. We still have on the agenda planting 8 Cleveland pear trees that are about 8' tall. Danyle isn't real excited about that! My sunflowers will be blooming soon and I think I have a few lillies that the moles didn't eat that will also be making an appearance soon.........Thanks for looking http://picasaweb.google.com/merandalambert/House
